Trust & Transparency
Privacy Policy
What the site collects, why it is used and which services help operate WattToRide.
1. Introduction
This policy explains what information WattToRide handles when you browse the electric scooter and e-bike catalogue, join an update list, contact the team or submit a catalogue correction. It also explains the analytics and external retailer services used by the site.
2. Information We Collect
Newsletter subscriptions collect an email address. E-bike and accessories waitlists collect an email address, the relevant area of interest and the form source; first and last names are supported where a form supplies them. Contact requests collect your name, email address, optional company, selected subject and message. Catalogue feedback may collect the request type, product or brand context, field being corrected, source URL, message and an optional email address. Server timestamps and operational notification status are stored with applicable submissions.
3. How We Use Your Data
Submission data is used to maintain subscription and waitlist records, review contact requests, investigate reported catalogue or retailer-link issues, and notify the WattToRide team when notifications are enabled. Email addresses supplied for updates may be used for the update category requested. WattToRide does not use a contact or correction submission as proof that a requested catalogue change is accurate; reported information is reviewed before publication.
4. Analytics and Performance Measurement
WattToRide currently includes Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated traffic information and Vercel Speed Insights for real-user performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals. Vercel states that Web Analytics does not use cookies and stores anonymised, aggregated data. You can read Vercel's current
Web Analytics privacy documentation and
Speed Insights documentation.
5. Service Providers
WattToRide uses Firebase services to store catalogue and public-form records, Vercel to host and measure the site, and a configured email service to send operational team notifications when enabled. These providers process information as part of delivering those services. Public browser writes to the catalogue and form collections are not enabled; public-form submissions pass through server-side validation.
6. Third-Party Retailer Links
Our platform contains links to external Australian retailers and global mobility brands. WattToRide does not operate these stores and has no control over their privacy practices. Once you leave our site to view a product or make a purchase, the privacy policy of that third-party retailer will apply. We encourage you to review their policies before sharing personal data.
7. Security, Retention and Your Choices
Public forms use server-side field validation, hidden bot-detection fields and submission throttling. No online service can guarantee absolute security. WattToRide has not published one universal retention period for every submission type. You may request access to or deletion of personal information you submitted by using the contact details below; a request may require enough information to identify the relevant record.
8. Contact and Support
If you have questions about this policy, a subscription, waitlist, contact request or feedback submission, or wish to request removal of your data, contact WattToRide at
contact@watttoride.com or visit our
Contact page for general support.
